Submit Guidelines
SETNATION is built on quality, discoverability, and community curation. Follow these guidelines to ensure your DJ Set submissions get approved and ranked on our leaderboards.
1Full Live Sets Only (No Single Tracks or Previews)
SETNATION is strictly dedicated to full live DJ performances, recorded festival sets, club broadcasts, and extended live mixes. We do not accept single song releases, 3-minute music videos, preview clips, or promotional snippets.
- Full festival broadcasts (Tomorrowland, EDC, Ultra, Defqon.1)
- Underground streaming sets (Boiler Room, Cercle, HÖR Berlin)
- Studio & club live mixes (30+ minutes minimum duration)
- Official B2B (back-to-back) live performances
- Individual single track releases or official music videos
- Radio talk shows without continuous music performance
- Low-effort AI compilation loops or re-uploaded mashups
- Unlicensed rips with chopped or missing audio segments
2YouTube Source & Video Quality
All audio-visual streaming on SETNATION is powered by verified YouTube embeds. Ensure your submitted link complies with the following:
- Prefer Official Channels: Prioritize official artist channels, festival organizers, and established streaming platforms (e.g. Cercle, Boiler Room, Tomorrowland).
- Embed Allowed: The YouTube video must allow third-party site embedding. Videos with embed restrictions cannot be streamed on SETNATION.
- Audio Fidelity: Avoid phone-recorded crowd audio where the direct mixer feed is unintelligible.
3Clean Title & Artist Standards
When submitting, clean up excessive clickbait or messy YouTube metadata:
4Interactive Tracklists & Timestamps
Sets with accurate tracklists receive substantially more community upvotes and engagement. When pasting tracklists, use standard timestamp notation so SETNATION can generate interactive seeking buttons:
5Duplicate Detection & Curator Reputation
SETNATION automatically scans for existing YouTube video IDs. Submitting a duplicate Set is blocked to prevent vote splitting. If a Set is already posted, upvote and participate in the discussion of the original submission.
Curators who repeatedly attempt to bypass duplicate filters, submit spam links, or manipulate votes will have their curator account suspended and submissions removed.
